Benesi3Pow2 really deserves some Julia animations... Anybody inspired?
Indeed, very inspired ! Just started the rendering of a 6000 frame animation with 2x Anti-Aliasing @ 1600x1200 with this little feller :] But damn it! Not one image as beautiful as yours Did you use some transformations? Good! But why such a high resolution? Isn't Full HD enough? (1080p) I did not use any additional formula. I've got a big screen and was a week away, so I tried to fill the whole week with this rendering. But I've miscalculated a bit, I'm right now at frame 3000 But next time I'll probably choose a lower resolution ~1080p, there's so much worth rendering You didn't use any additional formula ?! I've tried the whole time to get a structure like this but failed ^.^

Just a notifier that i have added a little formula... _PartlyJulia - a pretransform to disable partly the julia mode (More in the sticky first posting in this thread) Of course, the use of lenords parameters should not say that i think that they need this changings, i liked them just much and so i used them as example. Had not the right maps anyway...

_PartlyJulia - a pretransform to disable partly the julia mode
Came into my mind because of many interesting julias, where some pattern changes in particulary dimensions might be a nice option. For the example parameters, where i used some cool ones from lenord (thx!), i changed the ceiling by letting the x dimension go into non-julia mode at x=5.
How about a Julia set that fades near the surface of a sphere? Dunno how to make the formula btw

Dunno how to make the formula btw If you choose julia paramaters of only zero, i might get a formula, all other values would crash my brain by now Maybe if the spheres origin would lie on the julia values... but who cares if no user could handle it Very interesting Julia option, gotta go play with this, thanks Jesse
Thank you for your work and posting the parameters!

Did something with keeping offsets, a bit different though...

It is simple to keep the center of the fractal inside the sphere, but we must also modify xyz coords... the simplest way is a "Recenter %". Was thinking to do it... :

Of course, the formulas are always updated in the new version. If you put the new program version in a different folder, make sure to specify the new formula folder with the "ini dir" button in the utilities tab!

Maybe try some of this. At least z=z+factor*z/round(z) transfromation after the Mandelbulb DE formula generate pretty interesting things like cubed mandelbulb;) http://www.chaospro.de/formulas/display.php?fileid=222

Thanks, Luca.
I recognized that you also did some formulas based on Aexions ideas (to also rotate C), but had not the time to figure all the stuff out.
Can you do with them Aexions original suggested bulbs? (Sample paras?)

Yes... The param of RamiroBulb is in the original thread all the stuff works fine http://www.fractalforums.com/the-3d-mandelbulb/iterating-c/msg39283/#msg39283 see the image attachment params are visible

But the 'General' formula does not rotate C, so it is something different. I thought back then, that you were in the wrong thread or so, ...or just flying over it to fast, 250 formula man.
