Okay. Hold on for a second. Your posts are cluttering the forum could you just post one thread with all your requests and complaints in it.

Edit: I have merged all topics into one. Could you please slow down your posting rate a bit.
Well, IMHO, if one puts six different questions/problems in one thread, that will have a extremely chaotic effect (at least, in that thread itself).
So I vote against putting the things in one thread... But what can I do against a 'Fractal Molossus' as a 'Fractal Newbie'? crazy eyes Maybe there's a 'Fractal King' where I can appeal? grin

Yes you are right. Now the the thread looks kind of messy. But that is because I merged multiple threads into one.

But, six questions in one post could look less chaotic, it just depends on how you put them in there. A list ot question could work.

As for those titles, I do not think they are that important. smiley It you could prove me wrong I would accept that regardless of titles.

Hello TwinDragon, nice to see all your questions smiley
I was away a couple of days around the 10th of Feb and completely missed your posts.
I'll try to answer them all

Wish: double click to zoom at the location of the mouse.
I always program the scroll wheel button to double click.
Using the scroll wheel massively to zoom in, is much less ergonomical - it induces RSI like symptons.
Currently, if I click once, the fractal moves a bit to the bottom right. What's the purpose of that?
Hold the Control key and click with the mouse. The zoom size from Actions->Zoom size is used with the mouse in the center. I usually use zoom size=32 and use Control+mouse, rather than scrolling.

Wish: that there's a help file in the program.
So you can look up the mouse and keyboard possibilities are, for example.
There is a rather extensive description on http://www.chillheimer.de/kallesfraktaler

Sometimes, the program recalculates without my intention to do so. Or I accidently clicked ctrl+n in stead of ctrl+m. Then the calculation work gets lost (and also the fractal location you were busy at).
I'd like very much an undo function: if, for whatever reason the program starts calculating again or changes to something else, that you can go one step back and that the calculations of that previous calculation were automatically saved.
Yes, would be nice...

Wish: save as BMP or PNG or any other lossless 24-bit color file.
(I don't think the program uses lossless JPG2000? I think that format is prettt much dead.)
Yes, would be nice... (I do have 32-bit code for saving as BMP/PNG but never inserted it here...)
Only old-fashing jpeg is used.

It says '100%', but there are vertical areas which don't seem to be calculated yet.
How come?
This looks like a bug. Did you save the location so that I can test?

'Actions / Set window size' gives problems; it can occur that the top of the program isn't accessible anymore. (Out of reach.)
Bug?
I've encountered this myself when I want to have large AA and set the size to something large (i.e. 3840x2160).
The window is centered, seems the size of the window cannot be larger than the screen, but the left point is set as if it could, far outside the screen.
Press Alt+Space and select Move in the popup, then move the windown into the screen again with the Arrows

How to set image size to 1024x768?
When x=1024, then y=576
Activate Actions->Arbitrary size. Then you can enter both width and height

Unfortunately it takes an hour to compile the program, because of all the formulas implemented with the floatexp variable that use "__inline" and are expanded...

Another vote for PNG output. And in the same vein as the previously requestion undo function - a lock function to prevent accidental zoom/reposition etc during a lengthy calculation.  cheesy

Split the code up into smaller pieces, and use a tool like 'make' (I guess VS IDE would have something similar too) so that only the parts that need recompiling are recompiled when you make a change.  Then it might still take an hour from scratch, but after that adding a formula might take 30 seconds to compile.

PNG output was added in 2.12.2.

I think the lock function has actually been there all along, disguised as the version/credits dialog ("?" at top right of window).
