MandelBulber MAC

Dear Folks,
I need help installing Mandelbulber Mac. I have no idea what MacPOrts or GTK2 are. Can someone guide me through the install of all the software to work on Snow Leopard. The instructions seem to contradict themselves and I can make no sense out of them.
It's so discouraging to want to explore  fractals and be unable because of software issues.

Hopefully somebody will answer soon, but as a forum, not a chat room, it can take hours, or days, for the right person to see the post and help.

I got Mandelbulber installed; just clicked on install settings and it went crazy.

Yeah, it was really easy, even if one has no Terminal experience
I'll look into it to make a stand-alone App of it

there's my email written in the readme.txt file and i want a little bit of feedback if possible; i eventually can fix the explanation a bit.

PS It seems 2 me that is not really clear the difference between compiling (or building) VS installing
