Having trouble with one image changing when I try to resize to a larger image. I am using the same aspect ratio for the larger size image. Below are importable text Parameters. Other files seem to resize without issues.

I'm really amazed at what nice results you can get in such a short amount of time with this program. This morning I was able to come up with a few ideas in a very short amount of time. I was looking at one image and wondering where I had scene a particular color scheme before. It then struck me I was looking at glob of Port Wine cheese that had been cultured into something resembling a work of art.

Welcome to fractalforums, a civilized place on the wild internet, where a few words of introduction are greatly appreciated. This place is not (only) a helpdesk wink

And keep up the good work smiley

Where? I did a search and the only thing I found similar was the thread "light, image size and lenord" where they are talking about light changes not changes in the shape/image. If you import the text I provided you can see the image a 240 x 180 looks vastly different than at twice the size. Other fractals I have experimented with do not behave in this manner. I would really like to get a larger render of the 240x180 fractal. It's simple but elegant IMO.

No Matter where you go there you are

Are you talking about just changing scale on a finished render, like from 1:1-1:2-1:3 or changing from. I don't see a change doing that, I re render it at 480x360 and of course it will be more detailed, more area to work with, go to 800x600 at mid res settings and more detail changes still, that's normal from my experience.

Change the DEstop proportionally to the size change, you will see that everything returns correct wink

Ok, that got me going in the right direction.

- to go from 240x180 to 480x360 required changing the DE Stop from .8 to 1.8
- 960x720 required 3.8
- 1920x1440 required 7.8

I assume 3840x2880 would require 15.8 but my computer is a little slow for me to test that out.

Thanks.

To make HR renders you need hours... Azn
