Woot! A Fractalforums member's video made it to boingboing, one of the world's most visited blogs.

This is a video by SubBlue.

Congratulations! I also received a link to this video by some other people who know I like fractals. It's becoming viral!

While I think it's great that subblue got noticed on such a large platform, it's even cooler that Fractals in general are getting that level of attention!

Great work subblue, getting their attention like that   afro

Judging from the numbers of hits, this is the biggest attention 3D fractals have ever received!

Neither did I!

But I don't pay attention to blogs.  Or most of popular culture.  I haven't even turned on a television in 5 years!

I just took it for granted that the site was a big deal based on what was said here  evil

Thanks guys. I think boingboing picked it up from gizmodo which in turn got it from an interview I did here: http://www.fastcodesign.com/1663070/tom-beddard-grows-fractals-into-works-of-art (where I did make a note of mentioning this forum!)
The video went pretty viral and has some cray viewing numbers smiley

where does vimeo print the viewing counts ?!?!

i like it very much that fractal videos have become so popular, as you might now, i have registered the domain fractalmovies.com a decade ago,
and wanted to publish self made movies all the time, but never managed to do it in a steady way, and now there is the forums serving the same purpose smiley

The view counts are probably only visible for the authors of the videos. It's had 163k plays and been loaded on 2.6million pages!
