http://www.youtube.com/d0lphchrist

Rendered this thing in 4 days/nights with Mandelbulb 3D while I was visiting my friends and family over christmas time.
4001 Bitmaps @ 1600x1200 with 2x Antialiasing.
The video was 1,5 GiB before Youtube downgraded it to a 500 MiB version called "Original", but at least it has kept it's resolution.
Audio: Eat Static & Lucas - Troglodyte
Parameters are attached.

Really like the part from 1:15 to end. At 2:10 you can fly through a portal wink
The color-change at 2:32 comes from increasing the iteration-count. Having in mind that the video is only 2:42 it sounds unneccessary, but maybe I will continiue to render someday.

// happy, happy, joy, joy,
public void d0lphchrist();

edit: Some parts in stereo

1600x600

1600x600

1600x600

edit2: Finished a second rendering of this hybrid as julia-set, see here.

Beautiful animation, I really loved it after 1mn05, incredible structures and the shiny color map fits very well with the decadent architecture smiley

Very nice.

How did you create left and right frames? (Just by rotating the bulb in y axis?)

Yay, thanks alot for your feedback cheesy
The color map is the standard metallic preset.
@miqel: Nice webpage btw. wink

Very nice.

I've set sliding+movement step to 5 and looking+rolling angle to 1, moved 1 step to the right and rotated 1 step with j to the left, to simulate two crossing eyes.
But rotating the bulb would have been easier, didn't thought about that cheesy

By the way, you're thread on stereo-images has motivated me to try it out myself. First time I got the cross-eye-view to work. I was really impressed, also by your beautiful pictures wink

Thinking about rendering the animation a second time with slightly moved keyframes.
Does it work if you do this transformation with each keyframe, or does it produce interpolation irregularities?

edit: Should work. Asked the guy who created this video:

Thank you for your explanation. Yes, rotation of the bulb is effective. The only problem is parallax will be more if the rotation angle is more.
