Mandelbox how to?

Has anyone got or seen any basic code that draws a mandel box?

I was thinking a quick and dirty raytracer or something?

I'm just trying to figure out how to render a mandelbox!

the thing you have to do for most basic rendering, is to implement an inside/outside function with 3 parameters, this
are the coordinates to iterate, and you are inside if you reach max iterations, or outside if you bailout

these are all fairly complex methods, but this is roughly what to do... i do not have made it for myself yet, but some others here do
