After some troubles for uploading/showing images, here's a first one. Not really my first render (Stopped to count them long time ago). Or a pre-render before doubling the size. Actually having a lot of fun with Jesse's Mandelbulb3D, finding various geometric interesting hotspot or, more interesting, weird landscapes, especially with power 2 bulbs. Params text, if anyone wants to explore deeper the thing... Mandelbulb3Dv13{ 7.....m....K0...w....c2k1.........U6.1.........EnAnAnAnAXzXaNaNaNaN0.1.......... qjZW/J1Xnz9..........OqQhUXI/1zj........A.2........Y./.........E........o.2..... .....0.........U..E//....A............E....../...2InAnQDz1..................BnAH z....y1...sD/..........wz..............................wz0........yD..../....... ................U.2........6./........0E........kz9........wz0........zj........ Nice! An Almost Landscape with Almost Trees! And they're even Green I like Mandelbulb3d a lot myself. For me it is the easiest to play with and get interesting variations, but I may just not have spent enough time with the others... (however, I also did not need to spend as much time as the others, so that sort of says something about either the software, my way of doing stuff without fully understanding things, or both) (or something entirely other..)

I get the feeling there could be some interesting creatures lurking in this fractal undergrowth! spooky! I love it!

very cool^^
But many artifacts/dots still remain. I tried many render settings but even with max DE accurancy, power 2 renderings are not perfects on this point. If someone have a solution...

The power 2's are not easy to render, that's true. No time to do some testing with different DE's to get a better result. Let's call it an artistic effect. Here are the parameters for the image: Mandelbulb3Dv14{ 9.....Y/..kM2...S....c../.k9cMvYheG2.1..........3jpWMKOY2.QZzXqtMrpwzw08qCNfe2/k 5Got8VlJqz9..........0.........Uu05IX8xJY.2........Y./.........E........o.oV2RiG MQZtzOqQhUXI/1yD...0/....AEh4...I/....E.OaNay....2InAnQD/...................OaNa z..........E0..........................................wz0........yD..../....... ................U.2........6./........0E........kz9........wz0........zj........ Actually, posting hexadecimal values will not work within this Forum, especially when the non-displayable characters are converted to periods for display purposes. It would be better to attach the file, such as a "*.M3A", "*.M3F", "*.M3I", "*.M3P", etc...

It still works with mandelbulb 3D, as we can copy the text, open the log and choose open from clipboard. I know it looks weird but the formula and its settings appears immediatly... Edit after some interesting tweaks : I discovered that reducing zoom to 2 did not change the view so much, but it halved rendering time. I changed a little color gradients and tweaked light settings. Artifacts are still here (DE accurancy at 16) but result is quite interesting. (did not saved the file, it's just a test). Only a small postwork with'Toshop to awake colors.

That are no non-displayable characters, it is oriented on UF's chracter parameter text. The dots are zeros, much room for new parameter left But i have forgotten to parse the old 1.3 text so that the new values are filled with default numbers. So the Z/R ambient shadow threshold has to be increased in the text hyperben had posted before.

I kept pasting in the Ver.1.3 into the newer version, and therefore got an incomplete rendering. Though modifying the Ambient Shadow only got me part of the way in reproducing the same posted image. There must be something else that is not quite the same. (I tried several settings for about an hour.)

Though modifying the Ambient Shadow only got me part of the way in reproducing the same posted image. There must be something else that is not quite the same. (I tried several settings for about an hour.) With the new 1.42 version it should be nearly the same, but the depth-fog effect is different due a change in the Z-buffer. There is more fog in the mid-distances now, what is a more or less an unwanted side effect. But the ambient shadow is more correct, that could be another little change to the original image. Disabling the Z/R threshold like in the previous version would need a high value like 99 or so.
