I've been playing around with the bounding box feature in the Rendering Engine tab, and achieved what I think are some decent results (like in this example), and it occurred to me that there could be some potential in having the option to set a spherical rather than cubic bound.

I hope this request is sufficiently self-explanatory, and I also understand that there's a very long list of other stuff to be done.  smiley

You can use boolean AND function, with your fractal of choice and a mandelbulb julia with coordinates 0,0,0
Then your fractal is bounded by a perfect sphere which you can scale and move.

So... it took a few iterations of "Why isn't it working?", and "This does nothing" before I realized that Boolean operations aren't implemented in OpenCL yet.

After that, it was straightforward enough.

Here's the output of my initial trials;
