On July 20, 2016, I started a fractal-themed e-mail thread. It was originally only to my aunt, Charity, but I am willing to allow all of the awesome members of Fractal Forums on. (As of right now, there are 17 members.)

I send an image daily. I also give a fun fact every day, except Sundays. I'm only thirteen, so I have to share my house. My sister doesn't have a computer. (She has to use mine for summer school.) I may not be able to send an image every day for a few months. This thread may be rough around the edges for fractal experts, and as some of the members may know little to nothing about fractals, I may make some obvious statements.

I'll be going on vacation tomorrow, so you can put in your requests when I'm gone. I will return from vacation on August 10th around 4:00 PM.

Most of the images I use come from Kalles Fraktaler. I am particularly interested in the ABS Mandelbrot variations that stardustforever made, so I often talk about what I discovered involving each of those fractals, and making variations of them! As a challenge, I often try to see whether I can represent the equations for all of his fractals using only one z variable instead of both a real and imaginary.

I am not allowed to let my computer render overnight, and when my father graciously allowed me to, my computer had a serious issue and "blew up". I and my father had a friend that fixed computers for a living, and he fixed the computer for us. That means there will be no images requiring more than about 4,000,000 iterations. Nor are my images particularly beautiful, but bear with me. I'm doing better.

I'll do this: Once every few days, I'll give an update on fractal-related news going on in my life. I'll probably name it "Greentexas' Fractal News".
