Any idea how to generate lichtenberg figure ?
http://www.capturedlightning.com/frames/lichtenbergs.html

i have the bad feeling that it's very complex simulation stuff despite the simple "branching tree" look.

as it's a fractal, I'm pretty sure that the rules are extraordinary simple (but might be hard to find)
i don't know them.

I don't know your level of expertise but Diffusion Limited Aggregation would be a good starting point. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diffusion-limited_aggregation

Ha yes, i wanted to write diffusion limited aggregation but i forgot the name and that's why i wrote "branching tree" in quote.
And nope, never wrote any code that use it cheesy
