Hi

After many days of rendering I can present new Mandelbox animation in HD resolution.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AgdN5yO39UI

Animation was rendered using Mandelbulber 0.21
http://sourceforge.net/projects/mandelbulber/

Woah!!! Breathtaking Buddhi!
This is 2 much! wink

THANK YOU for rendering/sharing!!

Wowzy.

That makes Mandelbulber next on my list of programs to try!

Great work.

Cool bib, the start makes me think of Silicon Valley and chips, then this rapid hippie-elevation down the different shapes @:-I

Mandelbox variant with

if m<r         m = m/sqrt(r)
  else if m<1 m = 1/sqrt(m)

Instead of:

if m<r         m = m/r^2
  else if m<1 m = 1/m^2

Hello fractalforums!

This is my first attempt with this magnificent software, Mandelbulb 3D.
http://www.vimeo.com/13886600
check out the youtube version too

I know nothing about formulas,or parameters, just played around and this was the result  dancing banana
So i dont know what should be its correct name or is the simple "mandelbox" is right?

Rendering time was 12 days on 1280x720 resolution and with "2" antialiasing.
I wanted to zoom much deeper but at the end part a single frame took 18 minute to render but at the first frames this time was 2-3 minute.
Maybe a noob question, but is it possible with some parameter adjusting to zoom more deeper with the same frame calculating time?

Hello and Welcome!

Nice first effort.

Unfortunately, deeper zooms will always take longer to render.  It's a thing that happens with all fractals - deeper zooms = more math = more calculation time.

No way around that one.

But I can say that 18 minutes for a frame is not that bad!

We have people here who let animations run for months on end   afro

Patience is needed (and an extra offline computer to dedicate exclusively to rendering is also helpful).

And yes, Mandelbox is as good a name as any for that particular fractal.

I look forward to seeing more from you.

Not really, as Sockratease already mentioned. You can only try a lower accuracy setting, for the Box or IFS fractals a value of 3 is often working, but that depends on the specific fractal parameters.

However, with antialiasing it is always slow, i hope i can do a faster aa in the next version.

And not at least: very nice zoom!

Thanks for the answers!

Then it is just a question of the CPU strenght? i guess

Keep going Jesse. This all mandelbulb thing and these softwares are incredibly amazing!  cheesy so many possibilities

Thank you Nahee!  Azn
Here is my newest effort:
http://vimeo.com/14733451
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Co4Sql0aVXM

Inspired by Rathinagiri's work
http://www.fractalforums.com/images-showcase-%28rate-my-fractal%29/my-3d-stereo-fractals/

The rendering time was nearly 1 month hurt
I had to rotate manually every keyframe and render separately for the left eye. Not that difficult, but in the next Mandelbulb 3D version maybe a stereo option would be very nice.

Good work, i wish i had a 3d system... crosseyed it is not so easy to follow.
But what i see and hear is very good!
3d animation would not be so difficult to do, letting always 2 images rendered...
are there standard values for rotations and probably shiftings?
