This is my implementation of Mandelbulb... pretty basic  but feel free to give it a try

I got a really nice intelligble error trying to run this in Wine on Ubuntu.

Lol...thanks for trying! I have no clue what this error is I only tested on Xp and on my dev Pc so I cannot promise it will work on all config.
Did run the setup.exe? ( not the msi )
Do you have . Net 2 framework installed and the crt86 ( they are in the zip i think )

First I ran setup.exe and it told me to install Mono for Windows. So I did.

Hi. I tried to install the program on Vista, but when I launch it, windows says it does not work and cannot find a solution.

Had no luck trying to run this on Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 x64 nor did it run on Vista SP2 x64 (Mandelbulb has stopped working).

Lol... I will give it a try on non dev machine, and check this out...

It works on a non-dev XP machine here...
If the soft crashes after you generate a picture, you may want to create a directory called:
C:\Documents and Settings\<UserName>\Application Data\Mandelbulb

well, we all know that linux is the best os in the world where you have the opportunity to mess with sources every time something does not work.

@spooky can we please get exe without VC stuff bundled? I get this nice message that your setup has failed to f*** up my system (and I kinda glad about it)

Also, I  need the VS CRT because the number crunching is performed in C++ native...
