I've been playing around with the animations tab, don't really see how to distinguish a keyframe from a frame, all I get are a folder of *.png images that I can playback with the "show animation" button after doing the "render flight animation" button.  I don't see where any special files have been created, no *.avi or *mp4 or *.wma files or any kind of "keyframe" files.....what am I doing wrong?  Am I missing something  simple and basic?  I've tried in both Mandelbulber 2.06 and just now in 2.07.  Not seeing any "save as keyframe" or "save as animation" options anywhere.

thanks!

The folder of .png files is what is used to make an animation using external software like VirtualDub (windows) AvideMux (Ubuntu).  So no "save as animation" button.

For an animation,   the keyframes and parameters are saved at the bottom of the .fract file, and should be displayed in the animation dock when you load the file.
BTW the keyframe data in the .fract file can be exported to a spreadsheet. The  smoothness of the flight/morph can be adjusted  graphically with a spreadsheet .

Hope this helps.

Many Thanks!  I downloaded and tried that Virtual Dub software, very nice and easy to use for my basic needs.

thanks,
