Yeah, Nvidia Pascal might just be enough to push me to upgrade from my 750ti...

...and then all that drool dries up instantaneously when you remember that they strip out all that double-precision goodness from the consumer boards   fiery  fiery

It's actually pretty funny, I have pretty beefy internals, but then, I have a monitor straight out of 2004, a stock Dell mouse, and a Logitech k120 keyboard. I think I might need to adjust my priorities.

@quazor who said anything about consumer products...

SYSTEM SPECIFICATIONS http://images.nvidia.com/content/technologies/deep-learning/pdf/61681-DB2-Launch-Datasheet-Deep-Learning-Letter-WEB.pdf

GPUs  8x Tesla GP100
TFLOPS (GPU FP16 / CPU FP32) 170/3
GPU Memory 16 GB per GPU
CPU Dual 16-core Intel Xeon E5-2698 v3 2.3 GHz
NVIDIA CUDA® Cores 28672
System Memory 512 GB 2133 MHz DDR4 LRDIMM
Storage 4x 1.92 TB SSD RAID 0
Network Dual 10 GbE, 4 IB EDR
Software Ubuntu Server Linux OS DGX-1 Recommended GPU Driver
System Weight 134 lbs
System Dimensions 866 D x 444 W x 131 H (mm)
Packing Dimensions 1180 D x 730 W x 284 H (mm)
Maximum Power Requirements 3200W
Operating Temperature Range 10 - 35

...and it ships with Linux OS, I think I'll need to upgrade the electrical in my house, but on the plus side I won't need my furnace, clothes dryer or hot water tank any more. On the down side I'll have to be rendering for 1/2 an hour before I can take a shower wink still drooling even though I can't afford $113,000.00

Others mentioned it before: wait until you see the consumer variant of this chip design. Even if you don't want to wait, it'll still be quite a while until you can actually buy anything (at any price).

The good thing is that by that time, AMD will be competing with next generation GPUs of their own. Then maybe fractalists have some choice for their specific needs.

I always find myself agreeing with you hobold smiley Waiting for AMD's 14nm GPUs here wink We recently released Indigo 4 GPU beta, and the AMD GPUs kick major ass...
