Msltoes Riemann Bulb Variation 2

I could not easily code  "maxnorm = ((double) (abs(i+j) % 12))/11.0;" to fit with Mandelbulber's bailout/termination, so instead I placed a primitive sphere inside. I was confused.

Fast, zoomable and renders well  smiley

Eggs-cellent! As you can see in my second picture, since the main transformation is conformal, you are free to use any terminating shape (sphere, spike, cross, etc.) if Mandelbulber will let you wink

Attached image is a msltoe sym4 bulb hybridised with msltoe riemann bulb

@msltoe. In Mandelbulber we have bailout based on       r = sqrt(z.x * z.x + z.y * z.y + z.z * z.z + w * w);    therefore I needed x,y,z components to feed in Remove my confusion

 Out of interest,   what was initial i & j in your formula?     I was assuming it might have been  i = (int)round(x);

I like your hybrid. It adds some texture to the sym4 mandelbulbs.
The variables, maxnorm, i and j are just used for coloring. They can be set to round(x), round(z) at the beginning or 0,0.

Internal view with cut through z axis = 0.0.
