Hi forum,

I'm new to this forum as i am not really an online addict, but i'm old to fractals (well, the mandelbrot set mainly).
My first contact in fact was a program on the C64, i programmed simple mandelbrot calculations quite some times even before i found others' programs, and although i tend to have poor performance in my "tools", i still use them from time to time as i still did not find any easy-to-use program that calculates high res images.
But i am not aware of the maths of 3D fractals, and anyway, my path led me along programs like mandelbulber that can create extreme-high-res images of such out of the box anyway.

Besides the computer, i (tried to) read "The Beauty of fractals" and "The Fractal Geometry of Nature".
Besides fractals, i am also fascinated by (technical) IT security topics in general and cryptography specifically - and nauseated by the way most managers deal with these.
I am much less interested in, but not scared of mathematics in general.

I subscribed here as i have some questions concerning my current "tool", Mandelbulber whose homepage points to this forum.

Regards,

arnie
