Can someone tell me why MC rendered images do not match the colour range of the same image as rendered in the program.  The shadows are much too dark and other colours are nowhere as bright as the original.  Have I the wrong settings or is there other issues such as the Gamma-L settings.  Any advice much appreciated.

It's a bit of trial and error, but in most cases, you can get close to the standard renderer, when adjusting exposure, saturation and gamma within the mc renderer window. Also increasing the depth of rays (or so) to 3 or 4 brings a bit more light to the shadowed parts. Generally the mc renderer is a complete different rendering type, so you need to make individual settings for that renderer in the program window. Diff Amb and other Light related settings are impotant, to get best results there. Hope that helps
