How about the Bridges Conference, "the premiere international conference on mathematics and art". This summer it will be in Pecs, Hungary:

George Hart told me about this event (he is one of the conference organizers). He suggested it might be nice to give a presentation about the Mandelbulb at the conference. What do you think, Twinbee?

In that it's a major enhancement to how maths can be used to produce art - I don't think it necessarily needs to be art in itself smiley
