Zooming into the newly added fractal types in Kalles Fraktaler was tricky because many locations are so skewed they almost look like noisy diagonal lines.
Like this:

With some help of imagination it is possible to perceive some fractal patterns, but it is very hard.
What if there is beautiful patterns here?

With Kalles Fraktaler 2.7.2 it is now possible to reveal those locations hidden by too much skewness.

First I added ability to change the ratio between width and height of the background image.
And together with rotation, the location is skewed!
Skewed from the source - so that no information is lost as it is with post processing images.
So here is the image above - hard skewed!

Movies will be added...

Seriously cool!!

That skewing was the main reason why I wasn't really interested in most other fractal types..

edit:
when launching I get the attached errormessage.
But it works anyway.

edit2:skewing works fine, but yould you make a shortcut for "set ratio" as you have to try a few times to find the correct value. and it's so many clicks to reach it in that sub-sub-menu..

Here is the first movie I made with this technique, Mandelbar Celtic:
<a href="https://www.youtube.com/v/IoX3Uyd_sZk&rel=1&fs=1&hd=1" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/v/IoX3Uyd_sZk&rel=1&fs=1&hd=1</a>

Perpendicular burning ship

Here is a really beautiful location in the good old burning ship:
<a href="https://www.youtube.com/v/KvutJLa1aCU&rel=1&fs=1&hd=1" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/v/KvutJLa1aCU&rel=1&fs=1&hd=1</a>

Here is a very skewed mandelbar. Mostly just because I can. Look very much like Mandelbrot, but it is a cool shape of the final minibrot

Thanks for letting me know!
Sorry for this, I have updated the zip files.
It would only affect zooming deeper than e300 which invokes 80-bit long double

Awesome! Now the entire surface of every abs fractal is zoomable. You just keep opening up more and more new frontiers for us to explore. smiley

Thanks all

A tip on adjusting the skewness is to fine tune it close - but not too close - to a minibrot, when the patterns start get circular.
It is easier to make perfect circles than trying to interpret how the angles are connected.

I am having a thought of a function where this can be adjusted more easily by manipulating a preview image in the same way as the "Show Inflection" function...

Here is a very hard skewed location close to the neck of the cubic burning ship goose.
It is stretched almost 50 times.

It is full of round shapes where the orbit are trapped so they get black. Very odd, they are not mini-ships.
