I know that i can mixed classic formula with Difs formula with decombinate.i used it regularly with heighmapdifs as ground but..
How do you position for example a sphere DIFS inside an existing parameters file/picture..??
I try to get the position value in the center of the render picture and then put this value inside ADDx ADD Y ADD z parameter of the DIFS sphere..without success..i tryed many things without success..except that i know the sphere is somewhere..(by scaling until i 'am inside !!!)

Thanx for help.
(i know this is possible, just have to watch the LEN1(Lenord Work)..)

Hi   afro

You are on the right track with the ADDx ADD Y ADD z parameters, but manually entering values and rendering is very tedious.  I did this in the past by using the sliders in the 3D View window instead.  Much easier and faster feedback.

Is that how you tried it, or were you manually entering values and rendering?

Hope that helps.

Thanx for your answer !
I use the 3D view with sliders but sometimes it's very difficult to find and mainly scale the difs right, so i try to enter direct value but that does not work (or i don't know which value to enter).
Finally got it for my picture there :
But it'a long and difficult process !! (mainly with high zoom value)..

Thanx !
_RotateC, amazingsurf, _Rotate, sphereIfs, Helix Ifs. (can't copy the parameters now, but will do )

Hmmm...

Did you change the "adjustments" setting in the 3DNavi window to "Small" - that changes the strength of the sliders from Medium  (default) to either large or small.

If not, it may help.  If so - I have no other ideas, sorry   hurt

Yes i do it ,from medium to min.. !
In fact i think if we now the position of the center of the Difs formula, and the center of the final place to be, we just have to make a translation First and then a scale...
Have to explore this further more...

Putting a sphere where want it can be diffucult but it can always be done, one of my favorite things to do. Some will be easy, it depends on where in the overall picture you are trying to put it, if you're close to the center of everything X-Y-Z= 0 should get you in the picture then it's just a matter of jockying into place. If you are way offset from Center you need to Zoom Out until you can see where the Sphere is and move it into the area then Zoom in again. You might have to do that a number of times to get the sphere in the right place but as far as I've found there is no magic way to do it.

Thanx Lenord. I know about yout work, Amazing ! and i see that you often use that little sphereifs wink
You are right, sometimes it's easy, and sometimes it's a pain ! Yesterday it tooks me 1 hour to get it at the right place !!

I was thinking about putting the sphereIfs on the first slot, than use a translate C4d for the other parameters to get the fractal center at 0,0,0 but i do not know about the Cx,Cy,CZ value..and not sure that will work..

I always use the sphere as F1 in DE Combinate mode if I want it to go somewhere particular in any Hybrid(d.IFS or Escapetime) so you can move it anywhere you want otherwise there are too many interactive adjustments to mess with.
