Here are three different types of fractals:

• 3D aggregation fractals - you likely have seen that kind before, but Lomas' examples are especially beautiful
• Flow - if I understand the description right, the "Flow" type seems to relate to aggregation fractals as the buddhabrot rendering of the mandelbrot set relates to its usual rendering. It tracks the trajectories of each particle as they flow (hence the name) to a point where they hit other material
• Cellular Forms - these are based on variations of cellular dynamics: there are varying forces between those cells and rules for how they accumulate nutrients. If a cell has enough nutrients, it'll split into two. This is a simplistic but strikingly effective model of actual cell-culture-growth.

Thank you for the post, some very interesting stuff.....I particularly enjoy the chaotic and cionvulsive portions of the cellular growth
