Hi

Noob here so apologies if this is an easy one.
Is there any software that generates fractals using 3D Models as base shapes?
For example taking a tree or bicycle and generating the fractal using those shapes instead of the ones
that are mathematically generated by the formulas.

Hope i´ve made myself clear - i´ve seen software that lets you attach models to other models surfaces and generating complex shapes eg. http://www.code-artists.de/
but was wondering if there was some way to do this in a Fractal program.

Many Thanks in advance
Jacques

I am unaware of anything that would take "ordinary" 3-D object models and then create fractals from such.   There are ways to do something similar with photographs, and any 2-D image, but actual 3-D objects is altogether different.    cheesy

Incendia lets you use STL models as base shapes and it's bundled with another program called Geometrica you might also find interesting. See Incendia doc for how to use.

Thanks I have Incendia and Geometrica but havent had a good look at them yet. Will see what I can come up with.
