I'm using v1.8.7.  I'm trying to render an animation starting about half way through the sequence (I already have the first half rendered...)  I'm typing a number into File Index: Start:, but no matter what number I type, it always starts rendering on the first frame.  Is there a trick to getting this to work?

Thanks for the awesome software,
Jeff

Just leave the File index and increment as it was, and set the "Start index" (on the bottom of the window) to the number you want to start from!

No problem, you are not the only one who get this wrong and i can see why:
the file indizes i had once made to render frames inbetween to make a smoother video later on...
(dunno if this can be understood anyway)

But without the functionality you and other assumes that it got also an effect on the animation position, it does not really work.
But what i know what i thought 2 years ago  wink

However, good the start index does what it was designed for...
