Because it's cut with stuff sticking up past the cut, I'd have to say the other part of the DE Combinate is a dIFS formula (or two?).

It's the intersection of another big warted ball (like the one sitting on the large front disc) with the (extruded) spike of the M-set.

And it shows that the balls have nested hollows and balls inside of them, and that there are balls underneath the M-set too.
