Hi.
I'd like to present to you my software project. It's a 2D fractal editor written in Java I've been working on for a very long time.
I think it's pretty capable and has some interesting and not very usual features, but that's for you to decide.
Apart from rendering traditional Mandelbrot/Julia sets and many classic 2D fractals the current features are:
Buddhabrot style rendering for any fractal.
Superformula editor for orbit traps.
Fractal based orbit traps.
Inverse IFS formula with visual affine transformation editor.
Fractal Poincare disks for hyperbolic tilings.
And probably many bugs i don't know about
Writing custom formulas is possible, however it's somewhat clumsy currently. I'm working on a compiler to make things better and to possibly support UF formulas.
A gallery of what it can do is here:

https://sourceforge.net/projects/fractor3/If you don't have Java installed and don't want to, use this link:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/fractor3/files/Fractor3_win_jre.zip/downloadControls are mainly focused on mouse, you can zoom in using left mouse button, zoom out using right. Middle mouse button opens a new window with Julia version. You can probably figure out the rest if you worked with any 2D fractal software before, if you don't, ask here or in the sourceforge discussion.
I'd be happy for any feedback:)
