Word 'alien' should be banned

I think word 'alien' should be banned in fractalforums. There are lots of them and mostly they are last refuge, when all other words are out. Probably image search could give stats.

It is a bit over-used in titles but you have to admit most fractals do look a bit... well "alien". Similar to what we know yet different and strange. Not many choices either - extraterrestrial, unknown, exotic. They are used to death also. Maybe we need a hybrid title generator!
The extra-exotic alien terrestrial unknown. (I call dibs on that one.)

Well,  show me some Fractal Humans to give the idea merit.

Why ban anything though?  It harms / insults nobody.  It fits many images perfectly.

In fact, my last Gallery Post was called Fractalien!

It is a popular word to use, so maybe we should consider banning all popular words!

Why not ban the word Fractal while we're at it, just to make sure we don't overuse that word?

I am sure Alef's remarks are in jest - hence the fractal humor thread. But banning fractals - maybe just for a week - something to think about?? Try going a week without noticing a fractal in nature or in art. It would be a challenge. In the past I never noticed them.

It might be fun to use it to make every instance of the word Fractal appear as the word Cow or something.  Just for a week, as you said.  Or maybe for April Fool's Day?

Socratease, that thing clearly has insect eyes. It might not be an alien. It might simply be an insect... which we happen to not know yet, so it's a stranger to us... so... it's an... alien.
