Here's the site. http://fleen.org

Yep, I'm the guy. I think the technology could go places. It has some advantages over fractals. There are some apps and such too. I was trying to market it and stuff but my heart just isn't in it.

Need coders. Wanna join?

The color possibilities are even more exciting:

How is it run?  I saw a jar file on the wiki but I wasn't able to open it in java.

It's in disarray and it's more for people who can run the code from their editor. I'm in the process of converting the old site to the new site, and polishing etc.

If you have Eclipse and enjoy messing with code it's great, otherwise you'll have to wait till I make some nice dowloadable jars and organize everything.

The jar you got is probably the stickermaker. Don't you just type "java -jar stickermaker.jar" or something? It's been a while since I messed with it. It's in an old style, not like the present stuff at all. Makes nice sticker images.

Made a downloadable tool.

It's very alpha. New versions to come.

it works nicely, but it is in no way understandable what happens, and as far as i could see the rule definition is a binary file, with no possibility to understand how to change the ruleset ?!??! furthermore it seems to repeat, or i am just thinking to see same image twice after 10 or so clicks ?!

The ruleset, the grammar that is, is a serialized java object. I have an editor for those but it is not yet fit for public consumption. Soon.

You may have seen the same image twice. I dunno. The grammars that I supplied with the tool aren't *that* complex, but complexer grammars could be made.

The biggest issue that I hear about so far is a dearth of nice renderers. That is something I will address in the next version.

If you are into code then get yourself a copy off the Mercurial repo.

I posted the extremely unfriendly grammar editor for the brave. https://code.google.com/p/fleen/downloads/list
