A happy fractal, dedicated to Asdam grin

(I know, I cheated a bit... I just can't make a happy raw fractal  sad)

I wish my poor old 'puter could run Fragmentarium!

I can't even install it   cry

My next model is gonna have a video card and everything!  This one just uses the manufacturers chipset...

Ew.

Meanwhile, I must ask Kali: how fast did that thing render? Under 1/60 of a second?

Thanks for the comments, I did this mainly as a joke for Asdam because of what he posted in this thread:
http://www.fractalforums.com/5th-annual-fractal-art-competition-2012/competition-2012-and-the-winners-are/msg49417/#msg49417
But also for testing other formulas for coloring/texture of geometric objects.

Fragmentarium Kaliset spacewarp of some geometry, again?

In this case I used a KIFS formula in the same way as I did with Kaliset.

I don't know, Fragmentarium only informs the script compiling time, about 400ms, but the on-screen realtime rendering seems to be around 15-20fps. It could be optimized, I think... I sometimes don't take care of optimizations when the rendering times are so fast smiley
Btw, a 4000x2000 render to disk takes about 2 seconds or less (without antialiasing)
I have an ATI Radeon 6870.

Impressive, because this means we are at or near the point where it's feasible for games to use this sort of thing for procedurally-generated texturemaps, bumpmaps, and maybe even lightmaps and geometry.
