This is going to sound really weird but I wanted to try to make a set of 'minimalist fractals' - a set where every piece would look like a fine art painting.

The exploration is on-going, with this piece being one of the first. Basic gnarl with a twist and just a few iterations give it a really alien and 3D look.

Ultra Fractal 5 and loads of odd tweaking. cheesy

nice color set up, and texture grain, i am not a fan of minimalistic, what fractal is it displaying?!
