Fascinating! Not only the beautiful images, but also that this thread has been going on for more than a year. Patience is crucial for real fractal artists! That it is. And thanks.

Alright, my zoom movie of those coordinates is about to start rendering. I'll report back when it's finished.
Specs:
Total frames: 12,000 (6:40 mins at 30fps) Magnification: 0.5 to 100E322 (that's where the minibrot is according to some previews) Resolution: 640x480 (2x anti-alaising for an unedited 1280x960) Iterations: 2,000 - 500,000 Keyframes: 1/40 (it's a slower zoom, this won't affect it badly)
Wish me luck!
Good Luck! Did you finish your movie?

Sadly... No. I ran it for a few weeks thinking that it wouldn't take too long, and that was when I was naive about the rendering times of fractals at these depths. It would have taken a year or more on my current setup, and I didn't feel like giving up my computer for that long. I can't find out how to get Ultrafractal to give me the video render before it's done, so now it's sitting paused in the render jobs list. Thanks for checking up on it though!

What??? Only nine left? I must say this is a beautiful thread Paul, I will go back to it many times. Will you do an animation of it you think? On the other hand I think it is more beautiful as stills....

The period doubling is now pretty rapid. This one is the doubling of the one at the top of this same page.

Thanks ... I think. Still hasn't as many views as Rathinagiri's stereo fractals topic though. Sixty-four-fold version of the "seed pod" -- the one-fold version was evdz1_119, that off-center zoom into one of a ring of eight peanuts way back when. The thick dark blue layer in the center third of the image is the 64-fold version of what's 32-fold in 318 and 16-fold in 313 (the latter is the one at the top of this page of this thread). The period doublings are coming rapidly now. Next one in a couple hours. Then it'll be a week or so for the next, and two weeks or so for the final image...

Ohhhh, there they are, the dancing whistling frogs, time to stop! Hmm? Minimum iterations over 400,000 now. Magnification exactly 10 322.
