Again, thank you so much Panzerboy for making these available. My pleasure for figuring out the code and converting the UF5 formulas. Once I figured out to multiply by -2 instead of +2, it was all just a matter of toggling around the abs() functions on/off to generate the variants.

People, don't forget the third-order variant of the fxabsmandvar plugin is also available:

Between the second and third order abs sets, as well as the Tricorn/Mandelbar and Perpendicular formulas with their corresponding abs derivatives, should be enough to keep me busy for a while. But I promised my fiance no playing with fractals this weekend (it's all about her  ), and the homework is starting to pile up, so it may be a while before I post here again.
