nothing great but...

http://www.fractalforums.com/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;id=10521

Just playing around and wanted to see how deep I could go before the fractal got too distorted.  If you look carefully in the bottom right corner of the screen it says I was at 96,433 iterations...not too bad for my little laptop.

What coloring is that? It resembles my dwellgrad algorithm's results, or the results of biasing smoothed iterations with dwellgrad.

The colours are from the Miami Dolphins original 1989-1996 uniforms...my favorite team!

Actually, I was talking about the algorithm used to assign color indices to pixels.

And before anyone freaks out, no accusation of plagiarism intended or implied. I'm just curious how it was done, that's all.

Actually there is a very simple answer to those questions.  I have found a program that renders faster then any other program I have found.  The amount of "shadowing" is fully adjustable (look under options).  The colours of totally adjustable as well.  I adveraged over 100,000 iterations per minute on my friends computer.  It has a very small footprint.   And...IT'S FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!  See below:
