Hi folks

I was just wondering whether anyone knows 'for certain' whether there is any benefit to be gained by putting a picture through TWO runs with anti-aliasing - the result
of the first being used as the source of the second, in a bid to really sharpen up details for a final print.

For example (keeping the dimensions simple) put, say, 1000x1000 x AntiA3 through anim window - which creates 3000x3000 (@1:1 or 1000x1000 @1:3), either of which
can be put back into the anim window and used to create either another 1000x1000 or 3000x3000 xAA3 = 9000x9000

I have done it myself but cannot tell a great deal of difference on screen but I have no idea about prints.

At these sizes, the picture perhaps would not be big enough to warrant the effort, but I wonder if the big renders would benefit?

Is this a good idea or a waste of time, only to get the same result because each render is calculated from scratch regardless of input - and shows my ignorance of the calculations?

thanks
Kam

The image is recalculated from scratch in the anim window.
