I totally see what you mean. I am had a brainstorm session... here is very easy code for sharing presets:
Imbed a TinyURL into any art-gallery page, When the user clicks TinyURL, he gets to the mandelbulber code prevew in txt form, you can do select-all, copy paste, last window, Ctrl-P to paste into mbr2. The best is If TinyURL sends us to a page which has code and a "copy preset to clipboard button" in the HTML code. Mandelbulb3d uses 3 button clicks to copy the formula: ctrl, mouse selection, Ctrl-Copy. Mbr2 would use two clicks: right-click TinyURL, wait for page, right-click button to copy preset. You can't miss the other guy's presets because they look like this: >>>>____'''''''''''''aerZGs3'":Kk.....ytrerytre______ytreyhgfd in the middle of the image gallery view. the miniaturized URL would be something like www.M|A|ND|E|L|B|U|L|B|E|R_presetfile.com/G5Ytr4^r The tiny-URL and the full preset.txt are both saved on www. only the TinyURL is copied to clipboard by mandelbulber. That way, you can keep 10,000 presets on a fixed web address, all referenced by a short url text. The primary and ultimate time saver when slow thinking and exploring fractals, can be to have an art gallery in the adjoining window, with 100 different mandelbulber JPG, where you can think... Oh I want to discover this kind of formula, and copy one of the previews. Deviant Art is one of the best communities and if there is a way to imbed a TinyURL on their |

Thanks for helping me to overvolt a processor for fractals, I'm very happy to keep my Processors running at 100% for a few weeks to do a video.
Tesla is putting autonomous cars and mbr2 will lag in the technology race if it doesn't have autonomous fractals. 20 clicks and 2 minutes is a maximum time to spend to design a fractal video because it's invisible and stumbling process anyway. I think It would give Mbr2 a real special upgrade to have a DE radar camera robot. For hippies and cbd od's, the video design panel is too complex. For me it's easier if I can MoveCameraAndTarget to 5 places and Ctrl+Alt+KeyCode 1 to 5, to record a sequence of zones for the camera to visit in a video according to a veriety of path-finding-algorythms i.e. raytrace to arbitrary directions around the camera, travel to a certain DE depth, and from there find another random direction, travel to the same DE depth in the other direction. Between every way point you can specify the DE/the magnification of every waypoint, and you can add a choice of rotations for every step, spiral, pan, perlinRandom(360). After config the mandelbot, it saves to disk a video preview to file in 360p pixels, and then if the video runs ok, run it in 1080p. |

Quote The Newton-Raphson fails on deep simple locations, as I try to find the minibrot in the center of the attached location. Much worse than that, loading this location gives a very bad render (see attached). Zooming in or out gives something sensible. I fixed both these bugs by switching from GMP mpf_t to MPFR. It may be slightly slower, but it works correctly so I guess that's the price to pay. |

Thx!The Option, don't save the .kfb-files is not prio 1 for me. When it makes problems, don't change anything there. I think it will be useful to other people too, so I keep it. I just need to fix "resume zoom sequence" so that it will still work without the KFB maps, maybe I save a special last.kfb for the sequence just so that it is possible to resume... Quote More important to me is the option to enter a stop-zoomfactor where the zoom out sequence stops. I added a feature to control how many images are saved, or whether to use the previous behavior (stop at zoom 0). This is different to setting a zoom factor, but may have the same end result. You might need a calculator to convert between number of frames and zoom factor, taking into account the per-frame zoom size. I think the formula should be: INPUT start at zoom (A)e(a) end at zoom (B)e(b) zoom size (Z) ALGORITHM let x = a + log10 A let y= b + log10 B let z = log10 Z let n = (x - y) / z OUTPUT integer part of n EXAMPLE start 3.2e2000 end 1.4e1000 zoom size 2.0 x = 2000 + log10 3.2 = 2000.5051499783199 y = 1000 + log10 1.4 = 1000.1461280356782 z = log10 2 = 0.30102999566398114 n = (x - y) / z = 3323.1207399653053 So in this example you would set the stop frame count to 3323 I made a new "store zoom sequence" dialog, see attached - thanks for the suggestion! |
