Title: Question for anyone
Post by: Dean on January 01, 2012, 06:45:27 AM
I'm looking forward to possibly collaborating with some of you but first I have one small technical problem---how do you record/render all graphic motions to a mov or AVI file in Mandelbulb 3D?   ,'-)   I'm on a Mac, and it's massively slow and I can't figure out the recording/rendering for the life of me.

Render times vary widely with parameters.  Check things like raystep multiplier or others and see if tweaking them helps with speed.

The Mac has no free software I know of for compiling the stills into a movie.  Quicktime Pro is the one I always hear suggested for compiling the movie from the images rendered.

Hope that helps, and Welcome to the forums!   O0

There is no feature directly in Mandelbulb3D. You have to use a thire party software package. On PC, VirtualDub does the job and is free, maybe you can use it with a PC emulator?
