Title: Burning Ship nebulabrot animation Post by: aluminumstudios on December 22, 2011, 01:16:51 PM I recently took a Buddhabrot program that I wrote out of mothballs and started working on it again. I saw HPDZ's really nice zoom into the Burning Ship fractal (http://youtu.be/CD9yNFmb2FE (http://youtu.be/CD9yNFmb2FE)) and got curious what it's Buddhabrot-style render would look like and what it looked like rotated, so I did a quick and dirty animation of it. It's got a few technical imperfections, but it's something I just wanted to do quickly (plus I'm still trying to improve my code.)
I didn't do very many iterations because I liked the detail that could be seen at lower iterations (150.) It took about 12 hours to render on my old 2.16 GHz Core2Duo Macbook at 1280x720 @ 30 frames/sec. It shows the following planes CrCi -> ZrZi -> ZrCr -> ZrCi (you can really seen the absolute value keeping the Z values positive here) back to ZrZi for the final zoom to about 888x. ... at least I think it's those planes, I rendered a lot of different test images and clips, so I might have mixed it up. I hope you enjoy. Please feel free to leave comments on it. Also, I've moved my animations to this youtube channel from my other one which has become dominated by Fukushima related videos. I'd like to do another high-effort video like my "Under the Bodhi Tree" video (http://youtu.be/O2hRLw9OoJ8 (http://youtu.be/O2hRLw9OoJ8)) again in the near future. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eOh8gXKd-Pg Title: Re: Burning Ship nebulabrot animation Post by: zonepatcher on January 23, 2012, 08:47:37 AM well done...excellent digital visual |
