Title: Amorphophallus titanum live

hi there, i live in bonn, germany, and they have a great botanical garden,
in this garden they have a plant, called "Amorphophallus titanum"

this year the plant is having its big blossom again,

the plant has the biggest known blossom, but stinks heavily !

Interesting plant, never seen it before, neither life nor onscreen.
Well, we live and learn...
When it's closed, or opened only a bit, it reminds me of the
famous "mean green mother from outer space"  ;)

Fabulous plant! I first saw this on David Attenborough's series Private Life of Plants. I'm a plant freak!
