Title: Yo! ...From Christchurch, New Zealand Post by: Zaahukaanaah on December 11, 2011, 10:10:38 PM Firstly, I would like to bow down to all the amazing dudes and duddesses on this forum with their talents and expertise. Totally Beautiful!
I have had a folder full of fractal software for about 2 years, practically untouched since playing about with it in 2009. Last night I pull it out of the closet to experiance an amazing creative confusing experiance - but a good stimulating confusing experiance. And, yes, I am a "dum dum" when it comes to all the in's and out's of fractal creation, but that is why I joined this forum - so I can learn! I am a single 53 year old bloke who lives alone, and tries to remember to take his medication for clinical depression. But, I celebrate life and I love to dance to Trance Techno. And in terms of my immediate family, I am the "weird uncle" - probably because I was a Bohemian artist of the 80's and was a disciple of Osho Rajneesh for about 22 years (- that and the fact that most members of my family are far too conservative and need to loosen up). I hope to be a positive influence on this forum (with all my witty philosophical insights into the meaning of life) and encourage the best in what people here have to offer. :worm: :worm: :worm: Title: Re: Yo! ...From Christchurch, New Zealand Post by: bib on December 11, 2011, 10:43:50 PM Hi and welcome to the forums!

Title: Learning the A B C of Fractal...umm...reproduction? Regeneration? Post by: Zaahukaanaah on December 12, 2011, 03:03:24 AM Have just been examining the Palette Editor of Chaos Pro and I don't get it. I go "Whaaaa!!???". But, hey, who wants to rush; a little bit at a time. To get the basics, maybe I should start with Fractal Explorer, and then when I am ready to check out "layers", then I can go back to Chaos Pro...
:whatever: Thankyou to bib & cK' for your welcome. And I welcome you right back. And, I would like to suggest that we make this forum both child friendly, and child safe (..from exploitation, etc), from the age of 10 upwards. Any 10 year old who has the applitude of mathematical comprehension; creative artistic visualization; or is technically articulate, could start to learn the basics of the wonders of fractal creation. And maybe that could be a project, later on...no rush... take your time, but hurry. Even 10 year olds with the applitude for botany, and who can relate to the natural fractals in nature, could get something out of this forum...and later put something back into this forum. :whatever: :jabbering: " And if a person is able to put the rainbow in the right sequence, he or she may be able to recognise the brilliant metaphor for the various parts of a 'system' that can be color coded...and so on and so on..." Title: Re: Yo! ...From Christchurch, New Zealand Post by: cKleinhuis on December 12, 2011, 09:38:22 AM my personal plan is to create a complete book with explains all known techniques and explains them with and code examples for every type of fractal, this book is intended for those little childs like i was when i was 12 i was readi0ng stuff about mandelbrot like there was no day or night, and i believe there is no book actually containing latest developments - and i count flame fractals in for late development, although they are more than 10 years old ...- but this is rather a project, and will take at least 2 or 3 years. but believe me it is coming! |
