Oh well! Torus knots are a torical spirograph-thingy. :dink: Only, you must twist using two different axis. :surf:

"Fractal spirograph" :surprised: sounds too funny!

Remember the "fracta"l spirographs from Jason Padgett? http://fineartamerica.com/profiles/jason-padgett.html

I had to try it in 3d. Couldn't think of a distance estimate to the path so I cheated and used lights.

Hi All,

You are welcome and thanks for your appreciation.

Hi bib,

Thanks for the link to Jason Padgett's page.

Hi eiffie,

Your 3d light printer is really awesome.
In the picture of Reply #4, the ratio of the radii of any two adjacent circles is 3.
And the speeds of the rolling circles are 1, -5, 20, -80, 320, ....

Any chance for a Flash or Java version of this?

GeoGebra is written in Java. But I am not familiar with Java.

OK, that it.

These are Wonderful   O0

You have to post a tutorial of how to do these things!

This is GeoGebra, right?

I downloaded it, installed it, but haven't had much time to explore it   :'(

Is there a tutorial out there for making any such animations?

If not (and you have some spare time), please make a short one, just showing the basics of what steps are involved would be really helpful.

These look like entirely too much fun to play with!

Many Thanks   O0

I completely missed the link to the wiki.

I'll be sure to post if I come up with something interesting.
