See http://www.fractalsciencekit.com/ for details. The method used to produce this image was inspired by work done by Pablo Roman Andrioli (Kali) described in the post "Very Simple Formula for Fractal Patterns" on Fractal Forums. Well this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Girih_tiles#Mathematics_of_girih_tilings Maybe it needs different angle. Title: Re: The Secret Garden Post by: Ross Hilbert on December 18, 2011, 06:36:00 PM Hi Asdam, it is difficult (for me, at least) to predict what type of pattern will result from a Julia fractal so my answer would have to be 'I don't know!' :-) But thanks for the reference. It may be possible to alter a fractal using a transformation based on these patterns. |
