Title: stereoscopy revisited
Post by: marius on November 29, 2011, 01:16:10 AM
Playing with my new toy (Sony hmz-t1, yay!), I found my previous attempts at stereoscopy with boxplorer2 inadequate.
So I rewrote a bunch and now render stereoscopic imagery in a more easy on the eyes manner. Possibly even proper  ;D
Turns out field of view and having a focus plane with asymmetric view frustums really matters.

As always, best to check out the source and build it yourself (the pre-packaged binaries are woefully out of date):

Sadly, no support for nvidia 3d vision, since I don't have such a setup  :-\
Zalman and other horizontal interlaced device owners rejoice though: native interlaced support w/o any driver cruft.
If folk really care, I guess I could add anaglyph in some form or another.

Btw, anyone here have one of those LG D2342P-PN screens? If it's anything like the Zalman it would be a good deal as 2nd monitor.
