Title: Maps for diffuse color in Mandelbulb3D
Post by: Beanjuice on November 19, 2011, 06:11:52 AM
I wanted more maps for diffuse color and it occurred to me . . .
I had a lot of backgrounds from a video program so I converted them to .png files and put them in the M3Maps folder (named with a number).
So we can add to the variety of color maps with pictures etc as long as they are numbered  .png files. :o :D

Png format or .Jpg either one works. Any image can be used as a Map, just drop it in the map folder and name it the next number in the sequence.

Not sure, I've never used anything larger than 800x400 or smaller than 256x256. I have noticed if the Map is the same or close to the same Aspect Ratio of the image they are used on they seem to cover better.
