Windowed Environment

This image consists of two layers, combined and processed in GIMP:
1. A Sierpinski carpet, rendered by a standalone program I wrote to perform the straightforward recursive construction.
2. A ducks-like fractal based on ideas from Kali's posts, also produced by homemade software. I used recurrence relation z = abs(log(z)) + 0.2 - 0.4*i, where abs(x + y*i) is defined as |x| + |y|*i.

A zoomable version employing Seadragon Ajax (http://gallery.expression.microsoft.com/SeadragonAjax) is available on my website (http://www.2dfractals.com/zoomable.html).

Cool.
