Title: Projecting Fractal Surface on Cyclinder Post by: anopheles on November 10, 2011, 03:06:45 AM Hi there,
my first post here. I'm currently investigation the capabilities of fractals. Is there a easy way to project a fractal surface onto another one? For example I want the cyclinder defines as: Code: float DE(vec3 p) {return sqrt(p.y*p.y + p.z*p.z) - offset;};If found I way to make my cylinder more funky, but not really fractal :P just add some noise to the offset: Code: float DE(vec3 p) {return sqrt(p.y*p.y + p.z*p.z)-offset-noise_factor*cnoise(p);};Later on I want to be able to project different kinds of fractals onto different surfaces. Is there an easy way to achieve this?
