currently i have the following member group configuration based on postings, but i am not quite happy with that, please help me to find a good ladder

group name, #post count
Fractal Newbie    0 
Fractal Explorer 5
Fractal Navigator 10
Fractal Safarist 25
Fractal Conqueror 50
Fractal Lover     100    
Fractal Fanatic    250
Strange Attractor     400    
Very Strange Attractor    500    


please post any suggestions here in the board, i will then update the user group names ...

I love the Very Strange Attractor rank, but never much cared for the word newbe.

How about using the words Iterator, Bail Out, or Chaos (Chaotic?).  I'll try to think up some actual names with them...

Why not integrate different way´s in one group, so they could * live * together ( in Peace :-) )

I would take the * Attractors * are they strange / are they very strange together too, but separate from here.

Differentiating too much could confuse sometimes - some quick & maybe simple thoughts now :-)

Not sure which one I'd switch it for but I like the sound of Fractal Phenom, maybe for Fractal Safarist?

Well...

A couple of the Fractal Generators / Websites out there have names that lend themselves to this idea:

New Member - Fractaldactyl - The working name for my fractal website which got trashed when I found it was already used (I forget if it was by a program or site, but it was already taken!) - I like it because it has Dinosaur connotations.

Higher Level - Chaos Pro - A favorite fractal generator.

Any use - Benoit - Mssr. Mandelbrot's first name!

OK, that last one was no good.

ok that is quite a list, here are my thoughts about them, my first suggestion simply reflect browser names, this could be used
the attractor thingy is also somehow nice :D Iterator is good, bail out is to rude  :police:
freshman and phenom has a good sound

fractal dactyl is very great, i searched for the meaning (yes i did ) and came to the verses,

and these rhyme schemes are cool names i think, it could be a bit hard to arrange them in order, but cool,

Fractal iambus
Fractal Molossus
fractal bachius

are cool names
chaospro would be overloaded :D
benoit could also be Mandelbrot or Chaos
feral fractaler is cool for newbies  O0
fractal floozy would be for membergroups with no posts ;)
Fractal Ecdysiast and Fractal Fertilizer is somehow misplaced ...  :evil1:

I urge you to reconsider Trifox...think of a Fractal Ecdysiast as someone who strips away the superfluous sequins and flashy feathers of the cacophonous colours and flamboyant forms in an image to lay bare the raw captivating beauty of the Mandelbrot Set  :evil1:

this isnt a good idea.

people will just post a lot of junk and nonsense and clutter up the board so as to increase their rank to a "cool" name.

just put the number (of posts) next to the name or avatar
