ah yes, almost forgot: this is the best tile i have seen in years!

Thanks Christian! Yeah, the white border at the top is a result of the embossing filter I used to give it a textured look. If you want a version without embossing, I would be happy to generate one and email it to you. Let me know.

Wow, you're hard to please ;D ! Well, with a few additional clicks, I could generate an embossed version without the border.  Let me know and I'll email a new image to you :)

Christian, here is what it looks like if you zoom out on this Julia. Note that while the original image is positioned at -2 to 2 in both x and y, this image ranges from -4 to 4 in x and y and I have displayed the zoom box to show the bounds of the original image. Even though the original could be used to tile the plane, this image shows that the full Julia does not !!!

Can't you just crop the border off??

Yes, but I would be cropping off part of the image and it would not meet properly at the border if tiled. I could make it a little bigger and then crop off the border but that would take too much work :-) It is easier to generate a new image using options that remove the border but retain the embossing and the image bounds. I just started the fractal generation. I'll email you an image in 6 minutes :-)

any ideas about multi tiling !?

Sorry, nothing comes to mind with respect to multi-tiling.
