Title: Hi there! Post by: digitalbob on September 12, 2011, 12:39:51 PM Hello everybody,
Just like to introduce myself to fractal forums, I'm a newbie to the world of 3d fractals however am interested in exploring and trying to understand these mathematical realms from the perspective of sacred geometry, psychology of this art form and the percieved nature of reality that we exist in.........and also to have bit of fun on the way! I have downloaded/installed Mandelbulb 3d, and Mandelbulber and am trying to become familiar with this software. Hopefully I will be able to gain some insights into these realms with the help of the members on this forum. Thanks digitalbob Title: Re: Hi there! Title: Re: Hi there! Post by: digitalbob on September 12, 2011, 02:56:02 PM Hi Bib,
Thanks for the welcome!......My first query with MB3D is I've noticed that in my first few renders that there are quite a few black pixelated areas within the image, I'm assumng that there must be parameter that maybe controls this type of artefact from being produced. I also noticed this in a animation as well.....any suggestions as to what this could be. Thanks in advance :) digitalbob Title: Re: Hi there! Post by: bib on September 12, 2011, 03:25:19 PM Have you tried to tick 'first step random' in the Calculation tab? Also, try to render in larger size and use anti-aliasing (Viewing 1:2, 1:3...)
Can you post some parameters where you got this effect? I had a discussion with Jesse about color banding but I can't find the thread anymore. Title: Re: Hi there!
