Title: Map for the diffuse color Post by: mario837 on August 28, 2011, 11:14:06 PM I think we can make good use of a rotation tool besides the map offsets for x and y.
This work would have benefited from a slight tilting of the image used as map http://www.fractalforums.com/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;id=8320 And Jesse... don't tell me that you already did it. :) In my wish list there are only two other minor items: 1. The possibility of saving the parameters and the jpg image with one click, and 2. The Calculate 3D button to be replaced by the return key or else added to it. Title: Re: Map for the diffuse color Post by: Jesse on August 29, 2011, 11:22:10 PM I have to think about it, at first glance i am not really happy with a 'return' shortcut anywhere...
Saving with one click would be ok, i see no place where i can place this option by now (really strange what problems programmers have to face) The good fin is that i can imagine a rotation value for the diffuse map, as well as the option to do it also on normals like the lightmaps. Maybe not in the next version because i just have to relax a bit by now and do other things too  Title: Re: Map for the diffuse color Post by: mario837 on August 30, 2011, 12:17:46 AM The good fin is that i can imagine a rotation value for the diffuse map..., Thank you very much Jesse, this is great news!!!!!!!!! I think it is worth waiting a couple of versions. As for the 'P+I' button, maybe it can go in the save tab, after 'TXT' :joy: :verysurprised:  :joy:     Title: Re: Map for the diffuse color Post by: kameelian on August 30, 2011, 07:07:43 PM Hmm, I too have absent-mindedly pressed 'Return' many times expecting a respose.
However, M3D would not know whether I wanted to Render Preview, Calculate, stop or Pause - or anything else for that matter - and rather than get into difficulties with the wrongly pressed return when my cursor focus is not on the thing I think it's on, I think that on reflection, a return key function might be too problematic. Just my thoughts anyway Regards Kam Title: Re: Map for the diffuse color Post by: mario837 on August 30, 2011, 07:51:22 PM Hmm, I too have absent-mindedly pressed 'Return' many times expecting a respose Thank you for the feedback Kam. That is precisely the reason for my suggestion, very used to the interfaces of Fractal Explorer and Apophysis. I tend now to agree with Jesse and you that maybe it is not a good idea. Take care, Mario Title: Re: Map for the diffuse color Post by: kameelian on August 30, 2011, 09:05:32 PM ...but maybe a dedicated button would be fine [?] I do have some other wishes for future developments but won't hog this thread. regards kam |
