Wow, what a deep zoom! very nice video, must add it to my personal favourites :)
What kind of software you have used to render it?

That is something else, have you calculated the final size of the set, must be trillions of miles in diameter.  I obtained a mandelbrot set as large as the orbit of Jupiter (relative to my monitor screen) back in 1988, using the original Fractint in DOS on a 40Mhz Intel. Took a while!
